Faculty and students from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology presented at the 21st Annual Conference of the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences.  

AABSS holds an annual conference that brings together scholars from around the U.S. and abroad in order to present scholarship related to a wide variety of contexts, including theory, practice, empirical research, and conceptual advancement. The conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in February, 2018. 

Conference presentations included:

  • Observing Sensory Processing and Social Communication Patterns in Neurodiverse Populations. Authors: Sarah Tracey  (graduating May 2018), Allison Levitt (December 2017), and Marie Sanford (Clinical Associate Professor, SLPA)
  • Bilingual Children with Autism: Effects on Social and Cognitive Development. Authors: Samantha Watts (graduating May 2019), and Marie Sanford (Clinical Associate Professor, SLPA)
