Dear IC Community,

As mentioned in the President’s message about the approved 2018-19 budget, the Division of Finance & Administration and the Office of Human Resources is embarking on an exciting journey to transform our current IT operating system and improve internal business processes that support student success and institutional excellence.

We are pleased to announce that after a thorough, 16-month-search; Ithaca College Human Resources has selected Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solution as a key enabler of this strategy. Oracle HCM Cloud is a single, integrated solution for payroll, workforce information and employee management that is designed to help gain valuable insights in real time, boost staff and faculty engagement, create a culture of talent development, and automate HR processes to improve operational efficiency. Oracle HCM Cloud also offers a unified solution between HCM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.

Ithaca College Finance and Administration Division began the RFP process for our new finance ERP system on March 23 by asking vendors to respond to our invitation. An important part of this process will be to invite selected vendors to campus to demonstrate their products and services. We plan to hold these presentations in early May and begin to implement the solution by June 1, 2019.  In our efforts to make this search process transparent to the college community we have representatives from Facilities, IT, Auxiliary Services, Student Affairs, Business & Finance, Athletics, Provost, AIR, HR, Advancement, as well as from all five schools, participating and providing feedback on the vendor selection.

Continual communications about each project will be forthcoming. With the ultimate goal of providing the best possible experience for our students, we look forward to a productive, inclusive search process and solution implementation.
