Habitat for Humanity is having a truss (roof) build this week right here on campus! From April 16 - April 21st (9 AM - 5 PM) in Campus Center Quad Habitat for Humanity will be hosting an event called Truss Builds. If you're unfamiliar with what Truss builds are it is an opportunity to take part in an amazing community service event by assembling Trusses. Trusses are the support system of a roof. These trusses will be donated to Second Wind Cottages, an organization whose mission it is to house and walk with people towards restored lives. Please feel free to volunteer as you pass by the quad, any amount of time you can contribute is greatly appreciated. For more information about the event email ithacah4h@gmail.com |
