There has been an ongoing debate about gun control in the United States. That debate has escalated to protest marches and stronger demands for gun control with each new school shooting over the past months. On Sunday, April, 29th, 2018 form 7-8 p.m. in Beeler Hall, Whalen School of Music at Ithaca College. There will be a Theatre for Social Change workshop designed to explore this subject through creative activities and expression. The one hour workshop will be followed by a brief talkback. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum to explore the impact of the current gun laws on our community. This workshop is a culmination of our Spring 2018 semester of work in Theatre for Social Change, a course taught by Professor Cynthia Henderson. “It is the responsibility of the educator to teach all who walk through the door. It is the responsibility of the community to make education equitably available for all children.” -- Professor Cynthia Henderson If you'd like to participate in this workshop please send an email to theatreforsocialchangesp18@gmail.com Please join us and add your voice to this important discussion. Free food will be provided. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact theatreforsocialchangesp18@gmail.com.
