Submitted on behalf of the Office of Energy Management & Sustainability

The Office of Energy Management & Sustainability has submitted the College's fiscal year 2017 greenhouse gas emissions report to Second Nature. IC has been reporting to Second Nature since 2000 and has achieved a remarkable 28% reduction in net carbon emissions since our baseline 2007 report. The progress submitted as part of the 2017 report includes the College's composting efforts, the carbon sequestered by the IC Natural Lands, and the energy produced by the remote solar array, which came online in November 2016. The Office of Energy Management & Sustainability is grateful for the continued support from the campus community and anticipates even more savings to be reflected in the 2018 and 2019 reports when we are able to include 100% renewable electricity in addition to our other, continuous efforts.
