Stephen Tropiano, associate professor of screen studies and program director of the Ithaca College Los Angeles Program, served on the selection committee for the 11th annual Television Academy Honors, which recognizes television programming that inspires social change.

Academy Honors celebrates programming across numerous platforms that address a range of social issues.  This year's recipients include Disney Channel's Andi Mack, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, three documentaries (Daughters of Destiny, Undocumented & Queer in Rural America, and LA 92), and two scripted series from Netflix (One Day at a Time and 13 Reasons Why).

Ithaca College graduate Michael Royce '85, is the executive producer of One Day at a Time, which is loosely based on the 1970s situation comedy from Norman Lear.
