The Ithaca College/Longview Partnership: Speakers Needed for IC’s Faculty & Staff Lecture Series at LongviewContributed by Christine Pogorzala on 05/18/18 Ithaca College has had a very successful partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road, for almost 20 years. Part of this relationship has involved an ongoing Faculty & Staff Lecture Series at Longview. Speakers are needed for the summer and early fall. These presentations are held in the Longview auditorium. They are informal and can be on a wide range of topics, including academics, the arts, and current events, or related to areas of personal interest, such as a sport, hobby or travel experience. The following Wednesday evening dates (7-8 PM) are available for the summer and early fall: June 6th or June 27th; July 18th; August 1st, August 22nd or August 29th; and September 5th or September 26th This is a great opportunity to share your passion and expertise on a topic with a very appreciative audience! I might like to try this. I could talk about art, that
was my area at IC, but another topic i have presented in
many venues is my skills as a wheelwright! I learned this
skill between teaching jobs & have given talks about it at
many museums as well as at IC!
