Jennifer Germann (Art History) presents invited lecture at Ionian University in Corfu, Greece.Contributed by Pearl Ponce on 05/30/18 Jennifer Germann, Associate Professor of Art History, presented an invited lecture, “Engaging Dido and Lady Elizabeth: Feminist Interventions in the Past and For the Future,” at Ionian University in Corfu, Greece on May 2, 2018. The lecture discussed the Portrait of Dido Elizabeth Belle and Lady Elizabeth Murray, placing it into the context of 18th-century British visual culture and Dido Belle’s biography. She also met with Ionian University students and faculty during her visit. This lecture was arranged by the Fulbright Foundation in Greece on behalf of the Intercountry Lecturing Program while Germann was a Fulbright Scholar in the History of Art Department at the University of York, U.K. Jennifer Germann (Art History) presents invited lecture at IonianUniversity in Corfu, Greece.
