Jennifer Jolly, Chair and Professor of Art History, presented a paper entitled “Rethinking Mexico’s Racialized Geography: Seeing Afro-Mexicans in Michoacán” at the School of Advanced Studies, the humanities research branch of the University of London. 

The paper was part of an international conference on Visualizing Blackness in Latin America and the Caribbean, 16th-19th Centuries, sponsored by the Institute of Latin American Studies.
