Jennifer Germann, Associate Professor of Art History, presented an invited lecture, “Entangled Lives in Georgian Portraits,” at Benjamin Franklin House in London, U.K. on May 10, 2018.  

Her lecture discussed the history and representation of women of African descent in Great Britain in the 18th-century, analyzing their portraits and tracing, where possible, their biographies. 

 

This lecture was one of the two Annual Fulbright Lectures at Benjamin Franklin House for 2017-2018.
