Self-enrollment for IC's Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA) initiative is now available for all faculty, staff and students who would like to take advantage of the extra security that it provides for protecting your email, calendar, and other data within Microsoft Office 365.

Follow these steps to get started:

As described in recent Intercom and direct email messages, Duo MFA for email, calendar, OneDrive and other Office 365 applications is currently voluntary, but it will soon be required for all faculty, staff and students as follows:

  • All staff will be required to use Duo for access to Office 365 no later than August 14th – IT is reaching out to each department to coordinate specific departmental enrollment dates, which has already begun.
  • All faculty and students will be required to use Duo for access to Office 365 by Thanksgiving – Enrollment dates will be scheduled for October and November. More information will follow.
