Please join me in welcoming two new members to the Center for Academic Advancement, and specifically to Student Accessibility Services (SAS): Kelly Robinson, Ph.D. who will join us as SAS Manager, and Ian Moore, M.S., who will join us as SAS Assistant Manager. Dr. Kelly Robinson earned her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She brings to the position over 25 years of clinical experience in assessment of and intervention with individuals who have cognitive, emotional, language, learning, sensory and physical disabilities. She has conducted symposia, trainings, workshops, and presentations at numerous national and international conferences on issues related to disability services. For the past 10 years, she has supported individuals with disabilities successfully graduate from dozens of both public and private postsecondary institutions. Ian Moore earned his M.S. in Special Education from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Ian joins us from George Mason University in VA, where he helped to expand a grant funded program providing accessible materials to students with disabilities. During his tenure, he educated countless teachers on the benefits, implementation, and usage of assistive technology (both in person and during a weekly running webinar series), worked closely with students and families in developing technology plans, and exploring assistive technology options. Ian will be directly responsible for overseeing the adaptive technology and testing programs in the SAS Office. Look for both Kelly and Ian to join Ithaca College in September.
