Patricia R. Zimmermann (Screen Studies) invited to contribute to Documentary Magazine projectContributed by Karen Armstrong on 08/23/18 Patricia R. Zimmermann, professor of screen studies and co-director of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, was one of six faculty from institutions across the country invited by Documentary Magazine to name documentaries that students must see before leaving college. Documentary Magazine is a publication of the International Documentary Association, a major international organization supporting documentary culture and production. Zimmermann selected five international documentary new media projects designed on collaborative principles that probe conflictual political issues, including Babylon ’13 (Ukraine), EngageMedia (Indonesia), Precious Places/Muslim Voices (US), The Quipu Project (Peru), and The Shore Line (Canada/transnational).
