Patricia R. Zimmermann, professor of screen studies and co-director of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, published a review entitled “Oppositional Media Practice” in Jump CutA Review of Contemporary Media, No. 58, Spring 2018.

She wrote a review essay analyzing Chris Robe’s Breaking the Spell: A History of Anarchist Filmmakers, Videotape Guerrillas, and Digital Ninjas.  The book focuses on oppositional media organizations as they intervene, intersect, and engage moments of unresolved political and social conflicts provoked by neoliberal onslaughts.
