"Dream and Legacy: Dr. Martin Luther King in the Post-Civil Rights Era,” initially published in 2017 by the University of Mississippi Press, will be re-released in the Spring/Summer of 2019. This book, part of their African American Studies/Civil Rights series, features Dr. Brown as both co-editor and author of the books lead chapter on voter suppression and voter identification laws. Dr. Brown, an Associate Professor and H&S Director of Faculty Diversity and Development, is an expert in race and public policy, and was recognized with a 2017 United States Fulbright Professorship. This is the fourth book Dr. Brown has published within the past five years.
