Eric Machan Howd (Department of Writing) wins National Poetry Award

Eric Machan Howd (Assistant Professor, Department of Writing, and H&S Class of 1990) won the 2018 Switchback Poetry Award from the University of San Francisco with his poem "Mycology." 

Eric's poem is featured in the 2018 online issue of Switchback Journal and also received a cash prize (http://switchbackjournal.com). The picture accompanying this post shows Eric reading his poetry in Ljubljana, Slovenia, this past summer of 2018.
