Cookies, Connections, and Community – The Dean of Students Wants to Meet with You!Contributed by Bonnie Prunty on 08/30/18
As the academic year is getting started, I am looking for opportunities to meet with as many groups of students as possible. I want to meet you, talk about the role of the Dean of Students at IC, and most importantly hear from you about what are the issues/concerns that are on your mind. In order to make it easy for us to meet I am offering a couple of different ways we might connect either individually or as part of a group. 1. My goal is to meet with at least one student organization and/or one department’s student staff per week this fall. If you are part of a student organization that would like me to visit a meeting this fall please let me know by e-mailing me at bprunty@ithaca.edu or calling at 274-3374. 2. If you would like to meet with me individually or in a small group I have scheduled student drop in hours each day. My drop in hours are from 4-5pm Monday through Wednesday, and from 12-1pm on Thursday and Friday. Please stop by just to introduce yourself, to say hi, or to ask a question or discuss a concern. 3. Each month I will host a “cookie chat”. Come and meet with me, share some homemade cookies and discuss things we might do to enhance or improve the IC experience. Please watch intercom or visit the Student Affairs and Campus Life website for dates and times. I look forward to meeting/ talking with you soon! Bonnie |
