Developing and Implementing an Innovative and Seamless Student Engagement Experience: A New Role for Benjamin CostelloContributed by Gerard Turbide on 09/06/18
Later this fall, Benjamin Costello will begin a new role at Ithaca College as Executive Director of Constituent Engagement Strategy. As Executive Director, Benjamin will apply the many skills and experiences he has developed and shared with IC over the course of his career, collaborating across campus to help create a more coherent and personalized experience for our students, alumni and other constituents. The primary aim of the Executive Director will be to integrate the many and varied systems and processes our students and alumni encounter, in order to enhance the student experience, support student and alumni success, and help advance the strategic goals of the college. This will require leveraging existing, new and emerging technologies such as constituent relationship management (CRM) software, content management and automation platforms, and social media tools. Currently the Executive Director for Advancement Services, Benjamin Costello is a graduate of Ithaca College's School of Music, and has served in several positions at IC since 1997, overseeing high performance teams and leading key strategic projects college-wide. Benjamin has extensive experience developing highly innovative technological applications for the college, and he is known across campus as a collaborative, creative, inclusive, and student-centered colleague. The Executive Director will report to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Benjamin’s office will be located within the admission office suite on the first floor of the Peggy Ryan Williams Center. Congratulations to Benjamin Costello on this next step in his professional career – we are excited by the many ways this new effort will enhance the experiences of our students, alumni and other constituents. |
