As announced at the Aug. 23 All-College Gathering, the Office of the President is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 cohort of President’s Fellows and proposals for a second round of President’s Seed Grants.

The deadline to apply for either (or both) is Friday, November 2, 2018. Applications will be taken online only.

The President’s Fellows Program is one-year fellowship that will move participants outside of their normal work environment and field to experience a new professional opportunity on campus, develop leadership capabilities, and receive mentorship in an unfamiliar area of interest. Opportunities will also be provided to participants to build relationships with one another, and work collaboratively on projects.

The President's Seed Grant Initiative is intended to provide a launching pad for original, cross-disciplinary collaborations that develop innovative ideas. Successful grant applicants will clearly demonstrate how their proposal will advance the college’s mission by reaching beyond departmental roles and programmatic boundaries to identify or develop areas that are important to the success of the institution.

President Collado announced the creation of the President’s Fellows Program and the President’s Seed Grant Initiative in November 2017, stating that the initiatives stem from her deep belief in investing in the campus community to encourage collaboration and innovation and to develop and shape both the future leadership of Ithaca College and the future leadership within the landscape of higher education. Both programs are supported entirely by the president’s discretionary fund, a strategic resource that President Collado is utilizing to support faculty, staff, and students as they explore their potential as learners, educators, leaders, professionals, and human beings.
