Free Flu Vaccinations On Campus

Contributed by Katie Sack on 09/20/18

Tuesday, October 16th from 8:00am through 12:00pm in Emerson Suites, Ithaca College will be holding our annual Point of Dispensing (POD) for all faculty, staff, and students to receive a free flu vaccination

The POD is an important part of the Ithaca College emergency preparedness plan, and tests our ability to deliver potentially lifesaving medication quickly and efficiently during an emergency or disaster incident that may pose a threat to public health.

This is a very convenient opportunity for all Ithaca College community members to receive a free flu shot in a minimal amount of time.

During this event, all supervisors are encouraged to support faculty and staff participation. The following is a schedule based on faculty and staff locations, however if the scheduled time for your building is not convenient, please feel free to come in anytime between 8:00am and 12:00pm.

8:00am - 9:00am: Facilities, Gannett, Park Center, West Tower, Fitness Center
9:00am - 10:00am: Whalen, Williams, East Tower, Art Studio
10:00am - 10:30am: Smiddy, Hill Center, Job Hall, Phillips, Terrace
10:30am - 11:00am: PRWC, Natural Sciences, CHS, A&E, Central Services
11:00am - 11:30am: Park Hall, Dillingham, Public Safety/General Services, Egbert Hall, Ceracche
11:30am - 12:00: Muller Center, Alumni Hall, Rothschild, Hammond Health Center, Towers Concourse

We want to thank everyone in advance as participation will allow us to evaluate our current plan and staffing levels and will help us to be better prepared to respond in the event of an actual emergency, when you will need us most!

Please Note: High dose flu shots are not administered at the POD. Anyone with special concerns, staff, faculty, and retirees, should discuss with their personal physician what vaccine is most appropriate for them.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Katie Sack at ksack@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1208. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
