The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life invites the IC community to this fall’s ongoing interfaith immigration series. October 8 will feature a one-hour panel exploring U.S. immigration history, contemporary global migration flow, Latin American-U.S. relations, and opportunities for local action. November 5 will focus on legislative action at local, state, and national levels. December 6 will lift up stories of life at the U.S.-Mexico border, featuring artwork from children transitioning from detention. Guest speakers are Dr. Gregory Cuéllar and Nohemi Cuéllar of Austin, Texas, founders of Arte de Lágrimas. All events will take place in the Gathering Hall of Muller Chapel, 6-7pm. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Melinda Butler at mbutler@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
