Kyle Knowles (´14) of X-Gen Pharmaceuticals will discuss his path as a chemist in our local pharmaceutical industries.

Ithaca College alumnus, Kyle Knowles (’14), is returning to the Chemistry department to discuss his career path and experiences in industry. He will present on the path he took into the pharmaceutical industry with his bachelors degree in Chemistry. His talk will also include a discussion of his current work both as a scientific talk and a window into a typical workday for a local chemist. Finally, he will present some insights on the pharmaceutical industrial as a whole including how companies respond to an evolving industry. 

X-gen pharmaceuticals was established in 2003 and is currently based in Horseheads, NY. It remains a small and flexible company using an organizational structure including external partnerships strategically to maintain a growing and diverse portfolio. The company continues with its original vision of targeting essential products long past patent expiration, but primarily focuses on instilling a willingness to constantly adapt to the challenges of our modern healthcare industry.
