Rev. James Touchton has announced his resignation from his position as Chaplain to the Protestant Community at Ithaca College and will step down from this role effective December 21, 2018. In my role as the Director of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life I will work with the current board of the Protestant Community, student leaders, and community members over the coming weeks. Together, we will discern how best to support students during this time of transition and how we can shape a promising future for this community. If there are any questions regarding Rev. Touchton's departure, please feel free to reach out to me or John Barr, board chair of the Protestant Community at Ithaca College directly.

Thank you, James, for all the care that you have shown to students (and faculty/staff) over the many years you have served them at IC. \"Protestant\" covers such a wide, wide spectrum of doctrine and beliefs, and yet you have endeavored to hold students together and teach them how to live into that. You and Samara are to be commended for how much you have given of yourselves and how you have served, rather than asking to BE served.
