Ithaca College

From October 23rd-25th, representatives from Student Financial Services attended the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA) annual conference in Syracuse, NY. Senior Assistant Director, Sarah O’Neil, and Assistant Director, Wendy Rizzo, were co-chairs on the committee to plan the 50th anniversary conference and celebration. During the conference, members of the Student Financial Services staff were highlighted for their knowledge and commitment to the field and to NYSFAAA.

Assistant Director, Wendy Rizzo, was awarded a Citation of Appreciation for over 15 years of continuous and outstanding support and commitment to the NYSFAAA organization. Wendy has been working in Financial Aid for over 18 years, and has been a member of the Ithaca College Student Financial Services team for 10 years.

Associate Director, Julie Hickman-Godoy, and Assistant Director, Barbie Bargher, co-presented “Addressing Food Insecurity:  The Road to Successful Implementation of a Mobile Food Pantry”. They discussed the steps and challenges that Ithaca College has addressed to combat food insecurities, including the implementation of a successful Mobile Food Pantry.
