Ithaca College

Professor Akiko Fillinger of the Chemistry Department gave an invited talk at State University of New York at Cortland October 22, 2018 on how chemistry can contribute to solar energy utilization and explained her research projects with Ithaca College undergraduate students. Her research projects focus on fuel production, such as hydrogen gas via water splitting, by utilizing solar energy with electrochemically synthesized materials.  The talk was well received by the audience providing scientific information to students who are keen on environmental issues.
