below is the description of the roundtable in Nogales:

Roundtable: Youth Organizing Against Border Imperialism and For Liberation

Roundtable day/time: Saturday November 17, 12:30-2pm Hotel Americana

Participants will engage in a dialogue regarding border imperialism and youth activism in local communities, including universities.

Students from Ithaca College will provide an introductory bilingual presentation on the roots and impact of border imperialism, including the implications of environmental injustices and the climate crisis.  We will share how the impacts of the climate crisis disproportionately affect people of color and explore the resistance that is happening in local communities both south and north of the border. Through developing youth-specific networks of solidarity across borders we will analyze the role youth can play in preparing for climate and political storms.
