Bringing in the Bystander® (BITB) is a bystander intervention workshop with a robust evidence-based curriculum. Rather than focusing strictly on the roles of perpetrator and victim, the highly interactive Bringing in the Bystander® curriculum uses a community responsibility approach. It teaches bystanders how to safely intervene in instances where sexual violence, relationship violence, or stalking may be occurring or where there may be a risk that is will occur.

BITB is a peer-facilitated program as we believe this is the best way to spread the message to the student body. We are currently recruiting students that are interested in becoming a trained facilitator of the BITB Program. This would involve facilitating the workshop and managing difficult conversations.

There will be an information session held on Tuesday, December 11th, from 12pm-1pm in Textor 101. We encourage you to come and hear more about the program and how you can get involved. This information session is NOT mandatory, and you can still fill out the form if you are not able to attend.
