Multi-year Discourse Query Produced as a Podcast SeriesContributed by Danae Lowman on 12/12/18 Ithaca College seniors package research findings for public consumption ITHACA, N.Y., December 6, 2018—LAB18 is a senior capstone course at Ithaca College launched a four-part podcast series “For the Love of Discourse” last Wednesday at its agency showcase to highlight findings of a multi-year query on discourse. The two-hour podcast benchmarks the findings of a 2017 student-driven study with scholarly research which focused on youth and technology. Elements of the study included technology preference, frequency of use, and overall comfortability. “The podcast findings were really interesting. Some of the stereotypes we associate with young people and technology were confirmed, while others had more perplexing conclusions,” explains Tyler Lussow, LAB18’s Research Account Manager. Co-host Bryan Delaney states, "It feels like we are standing on the shoulders of giants given that Lab17 collected such valuable data last fall. It's an honor to create this podcast and give their findings a proper home online." The podcast series is accessible via Sound Cloud at soundcloud.com/fortheloveofdiscourse.
