Impact of Trauma Across the Life Span (Film and Panel Discussion)Contributed by Lisa Richards on 01/03/19 The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute, Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center will host a screening of the one-hour film Resilience: The Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope followed by a moderated panel discussion on the impact of trauma and trauma-informed care. Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 7-9 pm at Cinemapolis in downtown Ithaca. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP here. Additional information can be found on our Facebook page. Resilience chronicles the birth of a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease. Topics such as ACE's will be addressed.
