Workplace Violence Prevention Training begins 2/4/19 for all Faculty, Staff, and Student EmployeesContributed by Katie Sack on 01/31/19 Ithaca College is strengthening our commitment to the prevention of workplace violence. We rely on all employees to work together to create a safe and respectful workplace and have partnered with Everfi to bring educational training to the campus community. The Workplace Violence Prevention training is designed to help employees identify the risks of workplace violence and prevent incidents of it. It covers employees' roles in creating a safe workplace, the warning signs that identify potential assailants, and how employees can reduce the risk of injury during violent situations. All Ithaca College employees are required to complete this training. The training is web-based and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. All faculty, staff and student employees will receive an email invitation with instructions for accessing the training from Ithaca College <donotreply@lawroom.com> on Monday, February 4, 2019. The deadline for all employees to complete the training is Monday, March 4, 2019. The Office of Human Resources has reserved workstations on the Ground Floor of the Peggy Ryan Williams building for employees who may not have access to computers in order to complete the required training. If you do not have access and would like to reserve a space in Human Resources, please contact the office at 607-274-8000 to schedule time to complete the training.
