Poet Bruce Weigl Reads on Tuesday at 6 pm Handwerker GalleryContributed by Nick Kowalczyk on 02/10/19 Poet Bruce Weigl, twice a Pulitzer Prize finalist, will read at 6 pm on Tues, Feb 12 at Handwerker Gallery as part of the Distinguished Visiting Writers Series. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Bruce Weigl has published more than a dozen poetry collections — among them The Abundance of Nothing, The Unraveling Strangeness, Sweet Lorain, and Song of Napalm — in addition to the memoir The Circle of Hanh. Twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, Weigl has received the Robert Creeley Award, the Lannan Literary Award for Poetry, the Paterson Poetry Prize, and the Poet’s Prize from the Academy of American Poets, among other distinctions. |
