Come hear Cornell Woodson speak on bravery in leadership in health care.

March 4th, 8-10 am in Klingenstein Lounge.

Cornell F. Woodson earned his B.S. in Communication Management and Design from Ithaca College in 2009. After teaching high school English in Atlanta with Teach for America, he went on to earn a masters in higher education and student affairs administration with an emphasis on social justice from the University of Vermont in 2013. Cornell spent his career in education working with underrepresented groups and developing social justice initiatives to engage communities in tough conversations about the social issues that impact our society. In 2015 Cornell founded Brave Trainings LLC, a social justice consulting firm. He has traveled around the country working with higher ed. institutions, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations on their efforts to increase diversity and establish strong cultures of belonging. In 2018, he launched his very own podcast called “Let’s Unpack That”. The show unpacks topics and questions that often go unaddressed and unanswered. Cornell currently serves as the Global Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for a tech company called Looker based in Santa Cruz, California. He believes that authentic dialogue, reflection on our identities, an understanding of our history, and direct and consistent action are key to creating a more inclusive environment.
