The Food Pantry is Open

Contributed by Doreen Hettich-Atkins on 02/19/19

The Food Insecurity Committee is pleased to announce that the on-campus Food Pantry will be open for business on Thursday, February 21 from 12:10 - 1:00 pm.

We anticipate being open at least one hour each week for now so watch intercom weekly for updated dates and times.

The Pantry is located in the DeMotte Room (you can enter using the entrance to Phillips Hall closest to the upper quads - near the stairs that go up to the academic quad).

Because we have limited space and limited supplies, we ask that those who come to the pantry use the following guidelines:

  • bring a reusable grocery back if you have one (if not we have some you can utilize)
  • each guest will be limited to one grocery bag so that we can ensure we have enough food to serve all

Cash donations will continue to be accepted at all retail dining locations. Non-perishable food items, personal care items and paper products will continue to be accepted at the information desk for those who would like to support the pantry.

Donations of non-perishable food items, personal care items and paper products will also be accepted at the Campus Center Open House on Monday February 25 from 2-4.  Come see the food pantry, bring a donation, and spin the wheel to win a prize.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Doreen Hettich-Atkins at dhettichatkins@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3374. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
