Jen Tennant, associate professor of Economics, just published an essay, "Walking Myself Home," in the literary magazine The Smart Set. 

This essay looks at her own practice of walking and how she has walked as a way to process trauma. After framing the piece with her own personal narrative, she investigates an encouraging treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and contemplates its possible connections to the act of walking.
