Dear Ithaca College Students, Faculty and Staff,

As co-chairs of the Vice President for the Marketing and Enrollment Strategy search committee, we write to you with news on our progress and next steps.

Our executive search firm, Witt/Kieffer, started the steps to begin soliciting candidates of interest.  Our Witt/Kieffer consultants will continue with broad outreach to a diverse group of leaders who have the experience, vision and drive necessary to assume this dynamic new role.

The search committee is spending time reviewing the fields of strategic marketing and enrollment management to learn more about today's challenges, opportunities and best practices so that we may best assess and identify a strong vice presidential selection.  The committee will continue to seek out these resources, listen and learn intently in the coming weeks.

Lastly, an important part of that preparation is to seek ongoing feedback and continued dialogue with the Ithaca community. To that end, the search committee will be holding listening sessions so you will have an opportunity to hear more about the role and we can gain your valuable feedback.  You are invited to attend one of the two listening sessions scheduled below. Individuals requiring accommodations should contact Lynn Hyde at lhyde@ithaca.edu

Monday, March 25th from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Ithaca Falls meeting room

Tuesday, March 26th from 12:10 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in Williams 314

We also encourage your confidential nominations of possible candidates be sent to the search firm at IC-MES@wittkieffer.com.

Thank you for your support of this important search.

Sincerely,

Linda Petrosino, ’77, ’78 Dean, School of Health Science and Human Performance
Jeane Copenhaver-Johnson, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Education
