Kathleen Mulligan (Theatre Arts) Spoke at the ISPaD: The Indian Subcontinent Partition Documentation Project Inc.Contributed by Kelsey Dunne on 03/18/19 Kathleen Mulligan (Theatre Arts) and husband David Studwell were guest speakers at the ISPaD: The Indian Subcontinent Partition Documentation Project Inc. in Jamaica, NY on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Mulligan and Studwell screened the film "Voices of a Stained Dawn", which documents their project Voices of Partition, an original theatre piece based on interviews with survivors of the 1947 partition of India and Pakistan. Voices of Partition was a collaboration between Mulligan, Studwell, IC alumna Sarah Morrisette (Hebert Johnson) '13, and Theatre Wallay, Islamabad, Pakistan. A Q&A followed the screening. Voices of Partition was supported by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, The Fulbright Specialist Program, and Ithaca College. |
