The Wild Party in Concert, Musical Direction by Dan MullarneyContributed by Michelle Blau on 03/19/19 One opportunity to see this concert performance of The Wild Party on Sunday, March 24th at 5:00pm in Ford Hall in Ithaca College’s Whalen School of Music. Tickets are free, general admission, and will be available for reserving online at tickets.ithaca.edu/wild party Tickets may also be reserved Ithaca College Theatre Arts Box Office beginning Monday, March 18th. The Box Office is open Monday-Thursday from 12:00pm-5:00pm and Fridays from 12:00pm-4:00pm, or patrons may call the Box Office at (607) 274-3224. Daniel Mullarney, Ithaca College student studying for a Master of Music in Opera and Musical Theatre Conducting, is presenting a staged reading of Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party in concert for his Master’s Recital. The recital is performed in collaboration of talent and efforts with the Ithaca College School of Music and the Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts for a one-night-only performance on Sunday, March 24th at 5:00pm in Whalen School of Music’s Ford Hall. The Wild Party tells the story of a beautiful woman in the roaring 1920’s who decides to throw a party in an effort to reignite her love with her aggressive partner. Through the course of the party, love triangles form and fall apart, jealousy is in the air, and revenge is underway. With this mix of eccentric characters and a night of intoxicating indulgences, it is sure to be a wild party.Daniel Mullarney, Director and Musical Director of The Wild Party, received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami Frost School of Music and is now pursuing his Master of Music in Opera and Musical Theatre Conducting from Ithaca College. Daniel has been involved in many productions in the recent past at Ithaca College and in the Ithaca area. He has worked closely with Ithaca College Theatre Arts serving as Assistant Music Director for the Spring 2018 production of Cabaret and the Fall 2018 production of Ragtime as well as accompanying Musical Theatre students in voice lessons. He has also worked at The Hangar Theatre and Merry-Go-Round as Assistant Music Director. Coming up soon, Daniel is the Music Director for a site-specific performance of Little Shop of Horrors in Bool’s Flower Shop in Ithaca, NY. |
