Patricia Zimmermann, Professor of Screen Studies and Codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF), has been appointed to the editorial board of Afterimage: The Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism.  The journal has moved  from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY to the University of California Press.

Afterimage has traditionally focused on contemporary art and media. This will remain a focus of the journal; however, the move to UC Press brings a broadening of the journal’s aims and scope to widen its coverage of scholarly work in various subjects and disciplines, including more historical approaches. Please see the revised aims and scope statement attached.

The new Afterimage editorial board will be made up of approximately 30 scholars distributed across a wide variety of disciplines related to art, media, and visual culture.
