Friday, April 5th Each week, the office of New Student & Transition Programs will be sharing our responses to our most frequently asked Orientation questions. Our hope is increase awareness and understanding around this new program and why it is beneficial to our incoming students.
This week’s question is: How is Orientation Different for Transfer Students? International Students? Veteran Students?
Transfer students have their own orientation program beginning on Sunday, August 25th, specifically designed in recognition of their prior experience in a higher education setting. The transfer orientation program offers key opportunities to learn about academics, resources, and social connections at IC. International students have their own pre-semester program beginning on Saturday, August 17ththat directly precedes first-year student orientation on Tuesday, August 20th. Veteran students should reach out to the New Student & Transition Programs office to discuss a customized orientation program that best suits their needs.
