Writing Intensive Class? Consider Research Methods Online in JuneContributed by Sebastian Harenberg on 04/15/19 Research Methods in Exercise and Sport Sciences (EXSS 37500, CRN 10018) teaches you how to read and understand published research. You will learn basic terminology, skills to critique research, and how to interpret information for evidence-based decisions. This course is particularly applicable for individuals going into health professions (e.g., PT, OT, SLP, Nursing, PA). The class will be offered online over a 4-week span (May 28th – June 28th, 2019) and counts as a Writing Intensive (WI) and Quantitative Literacy (QL) course. EXSS 37500 Research Methods in Exercise and Sport Sciences (LA) Examination of the investigative methods used in exercise and sport sciences research. Design of experiments and application of statistical techniques for several types of research are explored. Includes proposal preparation for an original research project. Prerequisites: MATH 14400, MATH 14500, MATH 15500, or PSYC 20700; WRTG 10600 or ICSM equivalent; junior standing.(F-S,Y) Attributes:1,2B,QL,WI 3 Credits
