Submitted on behalf of the Office of Energy Management & Sustainability IC Impact, the School of Business, and the Office of Energy Management & Sustainability are excited to invite the college community to the third annual IC Sustainability Week. All events are free and open to the public. THURSDAY, 25 APRIL, 5:30 PM – TEXTOR 102: IC hosts Dr. Natalie Mahowald, lead author on the 2018 United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, Global Warming of 1.5 degrees C. Dr. Mahowald will be speaking to changes in the 2018 report, as well as proposed solutions and the work we must do to limit global warming. MONDAY, 29 APRIL, 7 PM – GLAZER ARENA: “America’s Favorite Teacher”, Stephen Ritz, is beloved across the world as the compassionate and exuberant Bronx educator, founder of the Green Bronx Machine, and the author of The Power of a Plant: A Teacher’s Odyssey to Grow Healthy Minds and Schools. A dynamic story-teller, Ritz will share his compelling story about building thriving communities and addressing equity imbalances in creative and positive ways.
