Join the Experiential Learning Alliance on Friday, May 10 from 9:00am to 12:00pm in Clark Lounge, Campus Center for a free professional development workshop! All staff and faculty at Ithaca College are invited to participate.

Post-its and Pens: Using Design Thinking with Experiential Learning Presented by Katie Clark, Director, Center for Innovation and Leadership, and Carl Sveen, Coordinator, Center for Innovation and Leadership at Swarthmore College

Workshop description: Design Thinking, at its core, is a five stage process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Design Thinking provides a creative solution to program development, student leadership development, and shifting institutional culture. The presenters will walk through the five stages and share how each can be used individually and within the larger framework of Design Thinking. They will outline how the Swarthmore College Center for Innovation and Leadership has used design thinking and how you can too! Participants will have the opportunity to practice using Design Thinking as a tool to enhance experiential learning on campus and to develop ideas for how it can apply to your specific work at Ithaca College.

Please register here. Registration closes on Friday, May 3 at 6:00pm and space is limited so, please sign up asap if you want to secure your space! Continental breakfast will be provided.
