AMA Outstanding Chapter at International Collegiate ConferenceContributed by Scott Erickson on 04/22/19 The Ithaca College chapter of the American Marketing Association (ICAMA) was once again recognized as an Outstanding Chapter at the 2019 AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, April 11-13. Ten students attended and represented ICAMA at the conference. In the main awards competition, IC was named a Top 25 international chapter, demonstrating “exemplary collegiate chapter performance” in all categories evaluated (professional development, community and social impact, fundraising, membership, communications, and operations). Chapter President Drew Lapinski ’20 gave an invited presentation on Fundraising strategies to over 120 other student leaders from across the country. Students also participated in numerous on-site competitions, including marketing strategy, case competition, chapter website, Marketing Week planning and execution, social impact video, and chapter t-shirt design. Attendees also attended sessions and workshops on chapter management, “experience speaks”, and how to succeed in competitions.
