Ithaca College has implemented a new Personal Information Policy, effective March 1, 2019.

This policy is intended to reinforce the college’s commitment to respect individuals’ chosen name, gender, and other personal information. The current policy addresses the use of a person’s chosen name, legal name, biological sex, and gender information in person-to-person and system-to-system interactions on campus, and is designed so that it may be expanded in the future to cover additional elements of personal information.

The Personal Information Policy has been in development for over a year and was authored by Ithaca College’s Data Governance committees in collaboration with multiple campus partners including Student Affairs and Campus Life, Legal Affairs, Constituent Engagement Strategy, and College Relations and Communications.
