I am very proud to share that our Analytics and Institutional Research (AIR) team has made three presentations and one panel discussion at HEDW (Higher Education Data Warehousing) Forum, April 14-17 in Ann Arbor, MI.  All presentations were well received by the participants. IC’s efforts to build a strong data management infrastructure in cloud (Analytics, Data Warehouse, and Data Governance) is now widely recognized at the national level. 

Session detail is outlined below:

1.      Panel: What to Consider when Starting Predictive Analytics at Your Institution – Panel Discussion; Heather Chapman (moderator) – Weber State University; Craig Rudick – University of Kentucky; Drew Allen – Princeton; Yuko Mulugetta – Ithaca College 

2.      Presentation: Creating a Successful Data Governance System and Data Dictionary in the Cloud; Yuko Mulugetta, Elijah Earl, Mary Jo Watts, & Robert Snyder, Ithaca College 

3.      Presentation: What Makes a Difference? Cloud Automation of Near Real Time Student Retention Prediction; Robert Snyder & Andrew Siefert – Ithaca College 

4.      Presentation: Expanding SIS Data with Engagement and Learning Management; Robert Snyder – Ithaca College & Rob Mitchell - HelioCampus 

Yuko also attended Enterprise Summit: Analytics organized by the national trio organizations (EDUCAUSE, NACUBO and Association for Institutional Research) in Long Beach, CA, April 17-19.  Yuko is serving on the program committee as one of six nationally selected members.
