Annual Performance Review Update

Contributed by Katie Sack on 04/30/19

We are entering the final stretch for the Annual Performance Review process and based on the recommended timeline*, supervisors should be finishing the completion the performance review documents of their employees.

Reminder - Performance Review (completed by Supervisor):
The recommended completion date, set in IC HR Cloud, for performance review documents to be completed by supervisors, is May 8*. It is also recommended that the following tasks be completed by May 8:

  • Release performance review document to employee
  • Conduct the performance review meeting
  • Confirm the performance review meeting date

Please note that supervisor cannot submit performance review document until the employee's self-evaluation is complete. Supervisors will receive an email notification when an employee has submitted their self-evaluation.

New this year, supervisors do not have to submit employee performance documents to their supervisor. In other words, there is no next-level supervisor approval in IC HR Cloud. This step may still be required in your department. Please check with your supervisor on expectations.

Resources:
A variety of resources are available to help both employees and supervisors complete the Performance Review process through IC HR Cloud. More detailed information on resources such as workshops, drop in hours, instructional guides, presentations, and templates are available online at https://www.ithaca.edu/human-resources/performance-review-process.

If you have any questions about the Performance Review process, please contact the Office of Human Resources at (607) 274-8000 or humanresources@ithaca.edu

* Please note that department timelines can vary, so please check with your supervisor for the timeline specific to your department.
