Ithaca College's student-run television and radio stations, ICTV and WICB, were honored at this past weekend's Syracuse Press Club Awards Dinner at the Genesee Grande Hotel in Syracuse for outstanding news and sports reporting. 

The following students were recognized in the Student Competition portion of the Press Club's 41st annual Professional Recognition Awards Contest:

ICTV
Best Television Sports Story - Jack Arpey '19 - Balancing Athletics and Academics - 1st Place
Best Television News Story - Amanda Chin '19 - Playground for All - 3rd Place

WICB
Best Radio Feature Story - Madeline Lester '19 & Sophie Johnson '19 - Tap vs. Natural: Residents Navigate Water Choices - 2nd Place
Best Radio News Story - Hannah Breisinger '19 - Ithaca's March for Our Lives Rally Focuses on Intersectionality - 3rd Place

Both television stories were featured on ICTV's monthly news magazine ICTV Reports. The audio stories aired during WICB's weekly local news reporting show Ithaca Now.

ICTV programming airs during the academic year locally in Tompkins County on Spectrum Channel 16 and streams at ICTV.org. WICB broadcasts locally on 91.7 FM and streams at WICB.org, iHeart Radio and through the WICB and TuneIn mobile apps.
