Dean Karl Paulnack named to National Advisory Group for DiversityContributed by Sara Jacobs on 05/02/19 Karl Paulnack, Dean of the School of Music, has been named to the Higher Education Advisory Group of the National Alliance for Audition Support. The alliance is a national initiative by the New World Symphony, the Sphinx Organization, and the League of American Orchestras, to increase diversity in American orchestras by offering Black and Latinx musicians a customized combination of mentoring, audition preparation, financial support, and audition previews. The advisory group also includes deans and representatives from Eastman, Oberlin, Northwestern, USC, Michigan, and other leading schools of music. |
