Farewell to Jennifer Campbell, Associate Vice President for College CommunicationsContributed by Wendy Hankle on 05/09/19 Submitted on behalf of President Shirley M. Collado It is with mixed feelings that I write to share that Jennifer Campbell, associate vice president for college communications, will be leaving Ithaca College to become executive director of communications in the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. Her last day will be May 28. Jennifer arrived at IC in November of 2015, during an incredibly turbulent time in our college’s history. Despite the challenges of learning about a new institution during such a difficult period, Jennifer dove into her role headfirst. Since then, she and the communications team have led a sizable number of efforts that have contributed to the college’s new momentum. I know that Jennifer takes great pride in her team and their collective accomplishments, which include creating communications strategies for senior leadership that improve clarity and transparency; evolving the college’s aging brand, website, and marketing approach; developing the communications strategy for our year-long 125th anniversary; and supporting the Imagining Ithaca strategic planning efforts. In the last two years, the team has received numerous awards—a testament to their talent and drive. On a more personal note, Jennifer was one of the first Ithaca College employees I had the opportunity to work with closely. I deeply valued her partnership on my introduction to the college and my early initiatives to connect with our community. Although I am sad to see her leave, I look forward to seeing what she accomplishes next. Please join me in thanking Jennifer for everything that she and her amazing team have done for IC, and in wishing her well in her new role. |
