Exercise Science Professors receive prestigious grant by AASPContributed by Sebastian Harenberg on 06/14/19 Associate Professor Dr. Justine Vosloo and Assistant Professor Dr. Sebastian Harenberg (Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training) are among a research team that has been awarded a prestigious grant by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. Under Dr. Vosloo's leadership, the team with scholars from the United States, Canada and the UK, will examine the expansion of employment opportunities for sport psychology professionals in North America. Associate Professor Dr. Justine Vosloo and Assistant Professor Dr. Sebastian Harenberg (Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training) are among a research team that has been awarded a prestigious grant by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. Under Dr. Vosloo's leadership, the team with scholars from the United States (Dr. Quartiolo, University of Wisconsin - La Crosse), Canada (Dr. Durand-Bush, University of Ottawa) and the UK (Dr. Wagstaff, University of Portsmouth), will examine the expansion of employment opportunities for sport psychology professionals in North America. The project involving quantitative and qualitative data collection from multiple stakeholder groups will begin in the Fall semester of 2019. In this international call for proposals, only one team was awarded the 5,000USD grant. |
